I think a lot of women train themselves to brush aside red flags. It’s part of the socialization we get to be nice to men and give them the benefit of the doubt at all times.

“Negan is by far the most interesting villain the show has had, because he still just oozes affability”
My problem with TWD is that it seems to exist exclusively as a question of which character gets killed next. Having an ethos of “nobody is safe” is a good and interesting thing to have in a show, but it shouldn’t be the only thing in the show.
Honestly, killing Maggie would have been the best choice. The fake out with Abraham is still fine. It works well to misdirect expectations. But to kill a pregnant woman and her unborn child on screen would have been unbelievably impactful.
Oh God said to Abraham, “Kill me a son”
Abe says, “Man, you must be puttin’ me on”
God say, “No.” Abe say, “What?”
God say, “You can do what you want Abe, but
The next time you see me comin’ you better run”
Well Abe says, “Where do you want this killin’ done?”
God says, “Out on Highway 61” -Bob Dylan
If Rick had killed Negan what would he have done when he got back, where the rest of his group was unarmed and held captive by Negan’s militia?
I guess I’ll be the one person who doesn’t bitch & moan about the cliffhanger. Shows have been leaving season finale cliffhangers for many years and almost all of them do it. Why, all of a sudden, are so many people so bent out of shape about it? It’s as if everyone just started watching TV last year and can’t handle…
This show is bad and it should feel bad.
I quit because the show began to give me anxiety stomach pains. I am a good guesser for plots and when there was no way out for the characters and when it was heading to this moment, I realized that I was causing myself full-blown anxiety issues watching fatalistic nihilism play out. There was no part of me enjoying…
Killing Glenn after his arc last season was insultingly bad.
As tasteless as the show already is, they kinda crossed the line for me tonight. Felt like an audience troll job, with the dragging it out, and the switcheroo, the brutality, and the garbage scene chewing by Negan.
It was bad.
This was absolutely brutal. F_ck the executive producers of this show. Seriously. I dont mind blood and gore and brains, but to do it to one of the long standing beloved characters? I am very upset and I am done with this show. To think we have to put up with another 14 episodes of this psycho Negan and all. No thank…
Shoot. I didn’t enjoy that at all.
Glen almost dying multiple times I thought was absurd (only to finally be killed off tonight aparently). That plus I didn’t like how they flipped Carol. I just quit caring about anyone/everyone. The only thing that would have got me tuned back in is if they had killed off most of the characters.
I couldn’t even watch it. It was worse than the comic. I want to cry and I feel sick.
The eyeball was so gross. Ugh.
To be fair, it makes sense to get rid of people without souls first.
That was the most brutal scene I have ever watched. Rip Glen and Abraham
Of course, it was the Ginger, it is always the Ginger. We can never catch a break.
