Don’t blame shakhuska for the sins of that evil lettuce.

My beloved neurotic whiny constantly pacing chocolate lab was named Porter. I miss that butthead and his behind the leg couch hogging.
I feel like there should be a distinction between soft serve and hand dipped. Peanut Butter soft serve may be one of my favorite foods but for some reason you don’t find too many hand dipped peanut butter and when you do it’s not that good.
I would agree 100%. Its kinda funny to watch a new to the industry server/bartender say they want to own someday and then a few years later say no way due to increased work and (quite honestly) the pay cut.
I was using a bit of hyperbole but there is an air of “Soup Nazi” there. It does help keep the line moving.
Look, is this going to be a five minute argument or the full hour?
After 20 years in the restaurant/bar business one of the things that still sticks with me is how many restaurant and bar owners have never worked in the business. This is a huge reason for the failure rate in the first 18 months being 75% instead of a lower number.
He most definitely was!
If you live near Jackson House, we probably do.

Where did I say they couldn’t get orders out in a timely manner? The reason they have a devoted following is because the food is great and they get it out quick because office workers have limited lunch breaks.

I grew up in FL, served in the Navy and went to college in Hawaii and now call central PA home. In the middle of all of that I spent my favorite part of my life in my adopted hometown of Baltimore. I love all things Baltimore, I order Berger cookies for customer thank you gifts at work, I bleed purple and black during…
No, I’m convinced its the lack of Portuguese sausage being cooked nearby that is the culprit.
The 7-11 musubi and char siu buns were my go to breakfast on my way to work the first three years I was in Hawaii.
You obviously don’t know of our local compost center very liberal outside food and drink policy. It’s their no shirt, no shoes, no service policy that is strictly enforced.
I stopped reading the minute you said Spam musubi. It was a daily staple of my 6 years in Hawaii. I have tried so hard to recreate them but homemade will never taste as good as from the ABC store while drunk or sitting on the beach.
Cherry coke was the only non Pepsi soda I would drink growing up. In my 20's I met and dated a girl from Australia who despised the taste of it (but loved Vegimite, go figure) and I stopped drinking it. Its been 20 years, I may revisit it over the summer.
