But overall it was the show’s weakest element & there is so much else to deal with (her family, the school, the various plots & history) that I think it is best to back-burner the romance stuff…

I think Wednesday’s best friend relationship with Enid is a better core for the show to focus on than her flirtations with the boys. Also her relationship with Thing is surprisingly effective. Her crying when she thought Thing was going to die might have been the most emotional scene from s1!
