When it's absolutely necessary (and it bears repeating that trans women don't need to be reminded they are trans women every other sentence), "Male assigned at birth" (MAAB) is the most common terminology, and one with which Mock has said she is comfortable.

Oh boo hoo, the privileged are tired of hearing marginalized groups complain about their oppression. Won't someone PLEASE think about the non-transgendered people?

NEWSFLASH: Oppressed people have the right to be angry about their oppression. His "interview" was not an interview; it was a continued, oppressive monologue that trans* people deal with every fucking day. He should be called out on it. Crying "bully" for being called out on bullshit is - well, bullshit.

Good grief. It isn't hard to figure out how to be an appropriate interviewer of a transgender person. It isn't hard to apologize when people tell you your behavior was offensive and uncalled for. Is there a a time when calling out shitty behavior actually becomes shitty behavior? Sure. But come on, he was wrong and

This is the new normal? No, there is no new normal, not yet. In terms of acceptance of trans* identities there is still just the old, shitty normal.

"She's also an outlier in that at 5'4" and 105 lbs, her height-weight combination put her slightly below the threshold doctors who use the BMI scale would consider "healthy." She's also below what Weight Watchers would consider healthy for her height."

Interesting. So when it comes to overweight people, BMI is garbage

I think that was the plot of a movie she was in, Syrup if I recall correctly. I never saw it, though, just the trailer.

I'm surprised they even had comments in the first place. All their "One of a Kind" ads have been closed since the first one (about a leather bucket bag) where people went apeshit because 1. Ads, and 2. Leather.

REGARDING THAT SPONSORED BAG

That would be a big yes and it made me do this

Why go for context when there are page views to be had?!?

I believe the second type is accurately portrayed here:

She writes about heartbreak, crappy guys, being lonely, etc. So does Adele. So do most songwriters at some point.

You kinda lost any credibility you might've had when you decided to bash people with anxiety disorders.

(PS — OCD isn't about being "tightly wound" :) ).

I'm a Swiftie who worships her work but also believed she overreacted a tad to Tina + Amy's joke last year. I also think she had a legit point to make in that article about the double standard against girls who date and then write songs about their dating life as opposed to men who do the same thing (Bruno Mars, John

I feel like Jez posted a pretty selectively edited version of this. Because with the added context, her advice is pretty spot-on.

That seems like some pretty important context, Jez. And with that added context, I actually pretty much agree.

The thing Swifty mentioned about being called crazy made me want to give her a hug! Women famous or not at some point in their lives get called crazy . It's emotional blackmail , and a great way to silence people . Regardless of her dating advice , I empathized with what she shared .

Well, she also said not to follow any of that advice unless they make it clear the relationship is a game to them. Then let 'em have it, and win. So that's fun, I think.

So basically you bought in to a fake story that a woman you have decided to hate did something bad and now you are mad that this fake story is not true. Jezebel is on a role lately. . .
