I mean—think of how far behind they are with regards to the electrification. Think of how they were on the side of Trump when he tried to fuck around with California’s emission laws.

This is why I took my MR2 to the salvage yard. That and the rust. And it happened twenty years ago.

I’ll tell you what it is.

There’s one of these in Chicago with 150K miles for $8,995.

Respect from car chuds is one of the least valuable things in the world. Only Brian O’Connor values that.

I have no particular skin in this game, but there’s a troubling tendency for people to trust the “he” of a he-said-she-said more than the “she”--like how Amber Heard was turned against as one by social media because of claims that Johnny Depp made that were no more or less concrete than her claims--and the truth is

(He noted that he’s especially unhappy about having been labeled a “bully” in the exchange.)

Now THAT’S a handle I haven’t seen in a long time. Where’ve you been $kay?

Ridiculous car rebadging you say?

But he’s not trolling - that’s the point. Torch is writing legitimate articles about real problems that the stans are determined to convince everyone either don’t exist or are grossly exaggerated. i hate this asshat and tesla too, but tRumpy covid deniers that won’t get vaccinated are probably (by far) the “highest concentration of potential Darwin Awards nominees on the planet.”

i read this as sarcasm.  but the sad reality is that some will take this seriously.

wow, and 25 years later this string of comments. This Is what made Trek’s great - I’d love a trek film full of Ideas - not just Kirk riding around on a dirt bike. I loved the episode where the ships existed In difference dimensions, and then they switched the Harry Kims...good twist.

Like I knew going in that Tuvix was only going to last one episode, but the writers “resolved” it in perhaps the most damning way possible, vis a vis the other characters. I had expected it to be some techno mumbo jumbo about “Tuvix is dying because Vulan and Talaxian DNA doesn’t play nice and if you want to save

Given the nature of the transporter technology, why would Tuvix need to die at all? Couldn’t they override the ethics chip (or whatever blocks duplication of people) and just bring back Tuvok and Neelix?

Well, that was fucking awful to read. Hope he gets what’s coming to him.
