I think rail could shine with autonomous control. One thing I still don’t understand, though, is how the hell does a train ticket cost 30% MORE than flying? Slower, less convenient and more expensive? There is little upside.

Conversely, this is exactly what these investment managers are supposed to do

I think the song captures such a strong sense of intimacy, but through a lens of sheer corporality rather than sexuality. The way she describes the partner’s body as somewhere to rest, and the “drawing graffiti” describes a strong knowledge of that body, an intimacy grounded in repetition and closeness, but also

I think the Ranger is a great suggestion. The Macan is a little odd, but Tom makes a solid argument for it. The other two are the obligatory jokes.

Now playing

They are terribly inefficient though—the heat is dumped out that duct, which is poorly insulated.

This is 100% correct. I’ve been using PopcornTime for a long time. I’m still running 0.3.10-0, and will likely stay on that version since the new one is so broken.

I guess it must have been the 2.0 then. Its been 25 years since I owned it thus memory is a bit vague. The thing with Celicas is that they were never really all that fast to begin with. All I know is that when I traded it in on a very basic stripper model 4 banger Tacoma the Tacoma by comparison would have easily

Although I haven’t listened to Ani songs in a long while, this made my day.

Same.
If it’s more of the same, I’ll wait.
If it’s fully backwards compatible for PS4 and PS3, I will pre-order that thing in a second.
...via Amazon...for delivery. I’m not going into a GameStop till there’s a vaccine.

They’re parked on the lot right next to the $35k Tesla Model 3s.

For some reason this reminded me of a Friends episode where Monica (or Rachel) met the hot guy from high school they used to crush on and went on a date.

Completely understood. That’s a different type of car culture though, we can call it a subculture. When people talk about killing car culture, it’s typically in the sense of everyday transportation usage.

27yo Aussie here and I agree. I make about 2.5x median income as a doctor but the combined value of my car and motorbikes barely scratches 20k. I have no idea how there are apparently so many younger guys willing to drop 60-70k on a new truck.

$19.99 is too high. At least in my area. They need to charge what the normal price of admission is. For me that would be under $10 at the theater I normally go to.

I’d wager they fully expected to break the car, they just didn’t know what they were going to break.

The original GT-R is much better, it didn’t even require nitrous to brick itself.

They literally gave you data and you responded with your anecdotal evidence. Neither person said truckers don’t do stupid shit. They said it’s usually cars who cause the problems. The two things are not conflicting.

Amen

Yeah, the public is stupid and gives in to pressures way too easily. on paper, looking at income levels of the public, there should be much less people driving $40k+ cars. That should be reserved for families that are making upwards of $200k of annual household income.

I was expecting to hear they were buying Ram Classics for $30k. Who pays $40k for an good but obsolete truck?
