If they’re gonna charge $70 for TotK, the damn game better run well on the Switch this time around!

This whole comment is bringing back memories, man...

“Pillowy, chewy” is what I liked about Pokey Stix (tbf, it was college, so god knows how my tastes have changed since then), so it sounds like I’ll have to check Toppers out, thanks!

The coolest part is that while that entire pattern predictably comes to pass for a particular business, the people responsible for ruining said business gain money and simply move on to the next business they can ruin for their own profit (which welcomes them with open arms).

I actually really enjoyed the marinara for whatever reason; it’s definitely not what I expected, but I liked the tanginess it added to the sandwich. As someone else mentioned, my only issue was that I’d have liked more of the sauce on my sandwich.

Here’s a very important question: Has anyone here had both Topperstix and Pokey Stix (from Gumby’s Pizza), and if so, how do they compare?

That’s totally true as well, although I don’t think the average moviegoer is picking sides in the Marvel vs. DC fan wars; to them it’s just “a Batman movie” or “an Iron Man movie”. But yes, as someone who has seen a ton of geek fights break out over various fandoms, the “factions” get pretty weird about it.

Yeah, the seasonal story stuff is fine, and even cool imo. I’d prefer they did something like what you’re describing, but I’m guessing they’re trying to balance new levels/missions with “making something ‘new’ out of recycled assets” so as to save time and manpower, which is why we get the seasonal activity and a ton

I don’t think it’s so much Marvel’s comic market share as it is the fact that moviegoers trust Marvel movies to delivery in a way that they don’t for DC. The Nolan Batman movies were huge, but DC’s portfolio has been wildly varying in quality since then, so they haven’t built up the (current) cachet that Marvel has.

The seasonal model was actually pretty cool originally, because it felt like more content than D2 players had traditionally expected (and initially, the activities were novel). The problem is that there’s only so much novelty you’re going to get out of a model that was originally created to find a balance between

Tbf, given how well these games are selling, and how fans seem to be taking the “well it’s a complete mess but I really liked it”, I dunno how much incentive they have to actually fix these issues.

I didn’t say Sony had created the service from scratch; they completely overhauled/updated PSNow (made it more competitive to GP) as a reaction to GP.

I mean, it’s totally fair to feel that way, but Game Pass is a pretty huge differentiator; if it weren’t, Sony wouldn’t have put together a service to compete with it. Exclusives do move consoles, but that’s not the only thing that does; if it were, I wouldn’t be purchasing an Xbox first every gen.

Famous people are not allowed to share our hobbies, okay?!?

Honestly excited for this. I was blown away by the Popeyes sandwich the first time I had it (the “first” batch), and found it less impressive later (partially because I ate it too much early on, and partially *I think* because the quality control was unsurprisingly random); now I’m sick of it.

This sounds like more or less the TO I was hoping for; I have the PSP version but was turned off by how incredibly slow (and punishing) even the early battles were, and if they’ve been sped up that’ll be quite a boon. Can’t wait to grab this; I love the Ogre Battle games, and FFT is one of my fave games of all-time.

Honestly, weaving that into the story would be pretty clever of Bungie lol

Even if there were nothing, it’s still part of Destiny’s fun as I said. But Bungie’s IG account seems to have picked it up as well, so I’m guessing it’s more than nothing.

People laugh, but this is exactly the sort of stuff that makes Destiny special. The secrets are always intricate, weird, and cool, and watching the community solve puzzles (or determine a lack thereof) is a ton of fun.

Yup. I’ve also always found it very confusing because if someone famous “comes out” by dating their own gender, it comes off as “this celeb is actually gay!” Yet when someone is bi in real life, it’s “not gay enough” for some people.
