I’ve proselytized for this game on Kotaku before, but if you’re down for a hybrid game (game + tv show), it’s pretty damn cool. The combat has some hitches but is very interesting, the story is very cool (especially if you’re a sucker for time travel stories as I am), and yeah, Lance is great in it (as is Aiden Gillen

I’m always late to the PS party because it’s generally my tertiary console (Switch being #2 usually), but this is also 80% of why I’m currently holding off. I hate the design of the PS5, and am waiting for the “slim” version.

People are paying Netflix $20+ a month to stream a lot of mediocre content (not a judgement on the big titles, just a judgement on how much filler I see everytime I boot up the app), so my guess is that for those who actually like Game Pass, it’s going to be the same deal. If you play a single new game a month, you’re

That’s totally fair, I play a good amount of MS’s exclusives (thanks Game Pass), and I have nothing bad to say about them, they’re just not generally God of War-level blockbusters, which I think tend to be what moves the needle.

That’s probably all true, but my point is that if we’re taking, say, Sony’s PS5 sales (quick googling said they were ~30 million units in Feb) vs. Xbox Series X sales (18 million or so, supposedly?) the # of people in the world playing games on PC is going to rapidly close that gap (I have genuinely no idea where I’d

I think they do care about consoles, but not to the extent Sony or Nintendo do. Getting gamers into a PC is probably much more lucrative for them, so the Xbox is probably a backup for those of us who want what they're selling, but don't wanna do it on PC.

It’s fairly logical, I think. If you want to get into Xbox exclusives and Game Pass, you’re able to do so via PC *or* an Xbox. So if you’re a PC gamer, why would you purchase an Xbox over a PS5 or Switch in most cases?

This really is a good point. As someone who tries a lot of new games but doesn’t have the patience to get into them if they don’t grab me quickly, it can be kinda tough to get through that initial barrier to where you understand the gameplay loop and can relax. It’s probably a combination of complexity and studios not

The second is that people who bought Xbox Series X/S consoles are desperate for a “W” on par with what PS5 and Switch players have become accustomed to.”

I mean, if you bought an Xbox solely for exclusives, I suppose I could believe this, but (Xbox “main” here) how many times in recent memory has MS not been lagging

Because BotW didn’t even run that well on the Switch. I have no idea what the differences between the 2 versions of the games were (if things were cut to make the WiiU version run smoother, if there was a porting issue that made the Switch work the way it did), but I have basically 0 faith TotK will run perfectly on

Well, sure, but I think that at this point, most players expect DLC for the games they play, or at least expect that the version they own will get the same treatment as others. And the first Horizon got DLC that everyone could play.

Kinda surprised how many people I see saying “good, let the old consoles die”. I agree with the sentiment overall (I hate new games being held back by old tech), but it’s pretty shitty to make a DLC for a game people bought, and say “sorry, you can’t have this DLC for your version because you bought the wrong one”. It

See, this guy gets how pizza works

I mean, look, I’m not the biggest Nintendo defender these days, so I’m definitely willing to agree that this could also just be weirdness on their part lol. But I have to think they understand their product when they’re able to sell games at full price basically until the end of time. I also figure “new Zelda game on

I guess my assumption is (especially with the 10 min reveal of Tears coming up) that Nintendo’s idea is that promoting the first game promotes the second without revealing anything new (and also potentially gives Nintendo more sales of BotW).

It’s true, the article about the new Wendy’s menu items is talking about a menu item from Wendy’s.

I assumed (maybe I’m wrong) that the implication was that Sony was making deals (in Japan) with Japanese devs so that the games would be exclusively released on Playstation consoles worldwide. It seems somewhat sketchy to me that so many games are released for Sony’s consoles (and sometimes Nintendo’s) and for PC, but

I mean no disrespect to Wales here (I’ve never been, but definitely mean to visit one day), but regardless of the level of quality and Wales-specific food at this particular McD’s...calling it “one of the top 3 restaurants in the country” honestly sounds kind of damning to the food scene there.

I’ve always preferred Corner Bakery to Panera in that I find their sandwiches to be more substantial (and arguably better), but the big issue for me is that CB is basically nowhere if I have a craving. For example, if you’re in Chicago you can find a Panera to carryout or get delivery from, but if you’re not in the
