While I get what you’re saying and agree in some situations, we’re already losing out on some “quality” due to Nintendo’s hardware decisions; their own exclusives don’t even run properly on the Switch (the latest Hyrule Warriors game being one of the starkest examples, but BotW itself being another). I don’t need

This is actually one of the same reasons I got back into Destiny; I wanted a go-to game I could play (basically forever) while spending less than I would buying new games every month.

It’s always depressed me how many cool concepts for SW games have been thrown out; I get that they’ve tried to play it safe with the brand (not a defense, to be clear), but it’s crazy to me how much potential they’ve left on the cutting room floor so to speak.

Yeah, I didn’t wanna say it, but...

This is the thing that kills me about the Switch; I’ve got one, and it’s a great idea for a system (a handheld that’s also a console), but as with most of Nintendo’s consoles since, say, the Gamecube, you can always feel it straining to keep up with the more ambitious titles. It’s frustrating to have been saying “what

It’s totally possible all the issues you had with it will still be there, but I’ll admit I’m jealous; it very obviously had Dark Souls-esque frame-rate issues, and I had gotten my fill of the game before the improved version came out for PC/XSeX.

Surprised to see all the negative comments about JFO, but I personally loved it and am pumped for the sequel (and also excited to see what else Respawn does with Star Wars). I’m also still really really happy that Respawn is killing it between their SW projects and Apex, because they’re a really talented team.

Came here to say the same. I’m absolutely 100% on board for co-op, but this is definitely a campaign I would’ve want to play solo the first time either way.

Yeah, I thought that was really cool. Corny but also cool was that it was used on some of the ghost-hunting shows to track spirits, lol.

Outside of it having a healthy playerbase (who disagree with you on it being a good game, no less!), I suspect the answer is that:

Same, that shit was really useful, especially since I’m lazy.

This is where Destiny really shines, imo. In general I hate playing online with others, but the Destiny community is a pretty big and helpful one overall, and there are a lot of cool little chances like this to give back.

It’s actually not true at all that they don’t want casual players; they’ve made a ton of QoL changes in the last year or two that were aimed at giving them more to do.

Yup, one of the big blue-check doctors on Twitter did a thread a few days back where he basically said that the patients he was seeing that tested positive for omicron that were vaxxed + boosted were generally in pretty good shape, which is awesome news.

OLED isn’t as bright as LED, so this is actually not an overall improvement in TV brightness; it’s useful for OLEDs because they still struggle in really bright rooms.

Sure, it’s all opinion, obviously. But when someone says an almost universally beloved thing is “overrated,” the onus is on them to give concrete reasons, and “I didn’t like X” isn’t enough. Just because you didn’t enjoy the things that made the game what it is to others, doesn’t mean they didn’t genuinely love those

I mean, I don’t instantly equate sales to all-time game lists, but I get what you mean. CoD would probably show up on all-time lists in the US.

I guess my issue with this metric is the idea that everyone who thinks BotW (or any other game on a list) is better than 99.999% of videogames is somehow also blind to any flaws in the game; a lot of these flaws you’re talking about are just preference (shrines, bosses, etc.).

As a HUGE SW fan, 100% in agreement. Reboots (at least, the standard Hollywood ones) almost always cheapen the original material if it was any good, and in my opinion the first Matrix was a pretty perfect origin movie so there was no reason to reboot the way they did.

I just saw a response of hers and it was...kinda unconvincing. With that said, it’ll be refreshing if she sticks to it this time.
