Honestly, a live-action AC series has a ton more potential than an AC movie ever did; I’d really enjoy seeing them go further into the historical aspect of the games while interlacing the weird future stuff.

Yeah, I grew up with IGN and Gamespot as well; there are definitely times when I roll my eyes at an article or headline here, but like you said, I spend most of my time here too.

Yeah, I might not have made my position clear enough, lol. I think people hate on Kotaku for some silly shit (that was one example), and since a lot of gamers are try-hards, they forget that there are people out there for whom videogames aren’t their sole source of challenge in the world.

A lot of people hate on Kotaku because their write-ups/reviews can be very blog-style and opinionated (“I thought this game’s intro was too hard”), and a lot of gamers 1) have no ability to take criticism of their favorite games and 2) hate it when anything non game-related (politics, etc.) gets added to a story. I

I mean, they couldn’t do it for the entire time they were part of Activision because of the deal with Sony (and Sony not wanting to do it). They only recently broke with Activision, so I’m not sure why you’re so skeptical they’ll get it done next year; they got cross-save done basically as soon as they could after the

Pretty excited for this, because it gets console players much closer to the PC experience (which has historically been way better).

Same complaint here. Warlocks really need a shake-up, and I say this as someone who (unfortunately) only plays a Warlock.

“Still neat, and the armor pieces themselves look fantastic, but I’m a bit tired of playing the glass cannon space wizard at this point.”

In terms of preparing you for the rest of the content, not so much, honestly; when I said “setup” I mainly meant the story of the game, and at this point we’re way past the storylines you’d play through in the removed campaigns. Do I wish they’d keep them in? Yeah, because I like to mess around in campaign from time

I actually click on all these articles 50% because I like the game, and 50% because the constant complaints from non-players is really amusing.

Exactly how I feel. I’m going to genuinely miss the places being removed, and have been doing a “goodbye tour” (not counting the exotic quest that’s literally meant to do the same, lol) before they’re removed. But the narrative behind it makes sense, and I’d rather they take chances than just hand-wave and say “uh

The campaigns are like...a few hours of content each, maybe; if you’re playing Destiny for the campaigns, you’ll be pretty underwhelmed, as those are basically there to setup the rest of the content.

Came here looking for this take, well done. I understand it’s easy to fall into a “them vs. us” mindset with consoles, but everyone should be rooting for MS to succeed so that Sony needs to adopt as much of these sorts of practices as possible (and the same goes for wherever Sony is the one with the good ideas).

I’ll give you some of that for sure, but I doubt all of it was just MS tripping over their own feet. I loved Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break among others (just mentioned them in another comment), but I don’t think they sold well enough to justify a franchise. And I also love Fable, but even Fable 3 was a big miss

You’re not wrong, but they also didn’t have all these smaller studios at any point in that time. And they have run some pretty cool IPs that just didn’t catch on (Sunset Overdrive, Ryse, Quantum Break on the XB1, off the top of my head), and obviously hit it out of the park with Halo, which sort of started them down

They only recently picked up a fair amount of those devs, so it was probably a little late for them to have that much impact. I would imagine next gen will see a lot more titles coming from the devs MS has picked up.

Honestly, I personally kind of consider “chicken + pickles” an unfinished sandwich (exception for chicken biscuits), so maybe that was their mindset too.

It’s probably pretty tasty, even if I’m not a big fan of pimento. But the simplicity of the Popeyes sandwich is why it was such a winner; just chicken, (arguably too much) mayo, and pickles.

I actually get it with no cheese, and then run over to Weaver St and get some white cheddar. Really a level up-imo, but ymmv depending on whether you want melty cheese not.

It’s always tragic when someone young dies, especially someone who inspired millions (billions?), but man, it hurts like hell to hear about all this stuff after the fact; we were robbed of seeing this man be larger-than-life on and off screen. I wish I’d known more about him before he died (but I guess that was
