The thing is, you can’t compare a smartphone to a laptop as a 1-to-1 pricing deal, because phones are infinitely more portable, and also tend to have more communication options built in. I mostly meant that $1400 for a laptop isn’t unheard of, and if you’re like a lot of Americans (or, let’s face it, a lot of the world

Yeah, but you can’t fit that into your pocket. I’m not trying to say a smartphone is a 1-to-1 replacement for a good laptop or desktop, but it’s still the “computer” that people use the most (for email, social media, etc.). Hell, I have multiple laptops, a desktop and a Microsoft Surface (which I love) at home, and

No prob. I’ve played since the original game came out in the US, and I still didn’t know there was a distinction between regular legendaries and mythical Pokemon until like...a year or two ago, ha.

I think Mythical tend to be event-only Pokemon, so you can't encounter them in-game unless there's a giveaway, mystery gift, etc.

I’m pretty sure all 3 versions of the S20 have a microSD slot.

I saw someone elsewhere point out that the pricing on ultra high-end phones makes sense when you consider that for many of us, they’re the primary “computer” we interact with. Paying $1k-1400 isn’t entirely outlandish for something with specs that will be easily good enough for years to come.

I mean, I totally disagree, but this is the sort of hot-take that makes the term respectable (as opposed to just “this is my opinion!”).

I just want to say that:

Exactly. My parents are constantly giving me shit for not having cash on hand (I usually have a little, but if we go out to dinner I won’t necessarily have enough to cover my/my significant other’s meal), but then when it comes time to pay the bill, you start to see what a pain in the ass doing it by cash is:

Hell yeah man. I get pumped when I leave the city and get to pay $10 a ticket. Big cities aren’t playing around with their ticket prices.

Hey man, as long as you’re having a wedding because you want to, and planning in a way that you’ll enjoy, there’s nothing to feel bad about.

Definitely wanted ramen as soon as I read it, too.

Good point, I mostly forget about pinnacles for exactly that reason.

I’m happy PvP players get this. I won’t be playing (especially if the bonus levels from the artifact come into play), but this is a damn cool event, and I’ll be jealous of everyone wearing the Trials armor.

It actually not only works, but allows me to imagine entire exchanges in which Janavs and some USC admin well-versed in junk food try to one-up each other with the best Hot Pocket-based sext.

lol

Interesting, given that I’ve seen multiple reviews claim these have better sound quality (and knocked the OG buds’ sound). Personally, as someone with the first-gen version, I’ve been skeptical of said reviews, because I actually really like the Galaxy Buds from a sound perspective; no, they’re not perfect, but

Yeah, I get people still hating on Kobe, but hating on his wife is a bit much.

The problem with “influencers” is that the term is essentially meaningless. It’s basically a word that means “someone who has a lot of followers in some aspect of social media, but doesn’t have an actual concrete job where these followers come from.” Certain influencers are going to be more likely to influence their
