Here’s the problem: even in a best case scenario, with Democrats winning both the House and Senate in 2018 and the presidency in 2020, we’re still likely 6 or 7 years away from Medicare for all/some form of national healthcare. And, if we don’t take back one of three branches, then this could be a long, long fight.

I actually think the odds of Trump (or another Republican) being elected are not that low. Once you get out of very liberal circles, you meet many, many Americans (including some who voted for Hillary) who are happy with the way many things are going.

I have an enormous problem with the overhaul of legal immigration as well. Aside from the obvious moral issues, we have a labor shortage and need immigrants, particularly in tech.

Give Trump the wall and “chain” migration in exchange for saving 1,750,000 or so DACA recipients.
