I was a fan for too long, and I cannot remember ever hearing about him going to rehab, though he did have a long stretch where it seemed like being a family man and visiting kids in hospitals in his Jack Sparrow costume was working for him.

This administration is run by a man who is used to working with a very few loyal toadies and relatives who spent most of their days massaging his ego. He has no concept of running a government office of any kind, let alone a five million person bureaucracy.

I disagree that the Uncle Tom reference is offensive. It very specifically makes the comparison to the Aunt Lydia character in Handmaid’s Tale, and the comparison that Sanders is a woman who has set herself solidly against women and women’s rights. It’s on the mark.
