“How tough are you? Do you do a hard day’s work and still make the time and effort for those you love and care about? Do you build that swing set in the backyard for your children? Do you pick up the plants from the nursery for that new landscaping project? Do you haul that lumber to build that deck for your family

5.0 Mustangs, and any of the Mopar louvered, clad, and graphixed turbo coupes.

Nothing says 80's like a captive import econo-hatch that literally everyone has forgotten about. These were all over the place for about 3 years.

Don’t shout! Everyone will want one.

I remember getting my first Alpine head unit in ‘91 (shuttle deck because who doesn’t want to carry their car radio with them). I thought I had arrived. This has to be one of the iconic car images of the ‘80s.

Most 80s car?

What people think the 80s were like:

They were vulture vomit

What about the screaming chicken? I think that is more a 70s thing, even though they had it in the 80s.

This thing. Wretched excess all around. Digital dash, T-roof, Bodysonic seats, pop up headlights, a propensity towards rust, and a look that could only be inspired by Bolivian Marching Powder....

I think there’s two ways to answer - the cars that come to mind when we think back of the 80s through the lens of nostalgia.

I was a teenager in the 80s. The car I saw all through that era that I don’t remember seeing as a kid and wasn’t common in the 90s was a BMW 3 series.

While 911 Turbos, Testarossas, and Grand National GNXs are representative of the ‘80s, it’s not like they were everywhere and everyone had one. For that I nominate the 3rd gen Accord. The 1980s were when Japanese OEMs solidified their dominance in bread and butter cars, and here’s one with pop-up lights which were

IROC-Z

The Mustang 5.0 5-speed was the car to beat back then. Sure, the GN and GNX existed and were some serious ass-kickers in the quarter mile. I’d even go as far as saying they were unbeatable. However, the ultimate “every man” car that could kill it at both the drag track and local road course events was a 5-speed

Having been an Audi owner, spanning 12 years, I know the benefit of better-than-regular maintenance. It’s not so much the engine and drivetrain that is the issue on a well maintained Audi. It’s literally every single other component.

My comp search shows it’s worth it, but it’s still a VAG product out of warranty so ND.

Already did - I’m zmuggling ketchup packetz up there!

Had to get home before their parole officer found them out

We’ll get’em next time Flash.
