Dream Theater of the Absurd

Not even with a short skirt and a long jacket.

Never anything that appeared on my Lust List, but a droptop with a row-yer-own transmission in apparently decent shape at this price point is hard to resist. I wouldn’t be embarrassed to drive this. Nice Price.

first off it is too slow to keep up with surface street traffic, it is too low to the ground both for you to see and to be seen, it doesn’t feel or handle like a “real” bike and to top it off it is too expensive for a first bike. even used ones are hard to find and expensive.

A 7/8 scale upright naked sport bike you say?

A $30 sheet of UV-resistant acrylic, some glue, and a dremel will also do the trick; replace the window itself, instead of the whole top. I just did mine (shameless pic below).

Saw the picture, and said “as long as it actually comes with the hard top in the picture, I’d go $6500" (I hate when sellers say “If you want it as pictured, it’ll be $2k more than I listed it for)

Love your username btw.  I’m not much in to prog anymore, but when I was, Dream Theater was my jam.

Cabin and Engine air filters. I swear I’ve had the filters sitting in my trunk for weeks waiting to be installed, but I just kept putting it off. The fact that it’s so easy and quick actually made it easier to put off - “Oh I’ll just change those real quick tomorrow before work”

I’m giving this an irrational NP just because I like it. It’s an interesting car and a good example if you want an Italian project that you can enjoy from the start as the stuff it needs are not things that stop you from driving it.

This is good Jalop.

I think calling this a two car garage is bad. My dream “two car garage” has a well laid out work bench with a full stock of tools and still have enough room to park a vehicle in it. That is a challenge to do, because there is always 200 other things that also end up in the garage. Like “why the hell do we still have a

A crew cab truck and a two seat sports car complement each other perfectly.

(Gives them 7 cents back) “Here, you clearly need this more than I do.”

Once again:

So how does a person that has never driven before know they want a manual? I mean I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind. But a manual transmission is really something that has to be experienced for someone to know if it is what they want or not.

You forgetting about trust fund hipsters. You know, the ones who go on these HGTV new home search shows. He is artisanal basket weaver and she teaches pigmy goat Pilates, and their budget for their new home is only $1.5M. But they can stretch to $1.8M if it is perfect.

I do see what Ford was trying. A car that could look like THE CAR when the lights were off and Black Beauty (Green Hornet), when the lights were on.

This is a car you drive ironically. But I don’t think most hipsters who do things purely for the irony have $13.5k to throw down for irony’s sake.

These kind of “rare finds” always leave me scratching my head. What the hell are you supposed to do with it? Any regular driving lowers its value, and in this case, it’s difficult to even say if it has ANY value. Put it back in storage for another 30+ years, and periodically visit it and admire your rare “find” while
