Does r/wallstreetbets know about this?
I’ll start by saying this sort of vehicle isn’t my cup of tea, but even then $7k seems like too much for the sad shape this one is in. Better to spend that money (or perhaps a bit more) on something that looks loved.
“Owner doesn’t know if he has a V6 or a V8"
For this Land Cruiser, $7k is “fuck that” money.
I resemble that....
This is a different incident than the one I’m talking about. That one happened during the Motorsports Reunion - don’t remember which year, but it was before the incident you put above. So far I’m not having much luck finding it on YouTube.
Yup. I still remember him banging wheels with Dario Franchitti in T1 on the last lap of the 2012 race. Worked out well.... for Dario.
It would be cool to see Sato collect this bonus, but I don’t think it’s likely. Fernando Alonso won’t be in the field this year, as he was with Sato’s two previous wins. :)
Based on the author saying he played this game when it came out three years ago, I believe SCRAMP still managed the track at the time.
For what it’s worth, a Shadow Can-Am car did go airborne at the crest of T1 a few years back. Somehow it got air under the nose which caused it to backflip in mid-air.

I gas up when the gauge hits E. NA Miatas don’t have a low fuel light, but when the needle gets to E you’re down to about two gallons (my ‘90 has an 11.7 gallon tank).

It looks good for what it is, and I kind of like the idea of a vehicle like this one having so much power for no logical reason. But I wouldn’t pay ten grand for it; make it $7-8K and we’ll talk.
When it comes to racing coverage, NBC stands for Nothing But Commercials.
I have one small complaint.... how did some of these cars get in here with fewer miles than my ‘91 Miata had at the time I sold it? Just doesn’t seem fair...
YAY!!!!!! It’s not a slideshow!
I bought a silver 1991 Miata in May 1999 with about 95.5K on the clock. Autocrossed it, competed at the Solo Nationals twice in it, took multiple road trips. By the time I got rid of it in November 2016, it had 327,427 miles. It was still on its original engine (which admittedly was a bit tired at this point and…
Back when I went to high school, we didn’t have vending machines even for sodas. That was back in the ‘80s.
