I’m beginning to suspect you think the car is ugly...

Thirty large for this....... thing?  I was laughing so hard I could barely click the ND button.

My wife has made potato leek soup at least a couple of times. It’s something I’ll gladly have even if I’m not on a soft-food diet.

You’re only human. :)

You mentioned fried chicken, I wonder if he could handle buffalo chicken dip?”

I feel your husband’s pain. I broke off an incisor a couple days before Christmas, and had a couple stretches where I had to stick with soft foods - once after a deep cleaning, the second time after getting a bone graft. Also, my wife had some pretty extensive dental work a while back. She found quite a few good soup

Sounds like your parents were a bit more permissive than mine.  OTOH, I didn’t give them much to worry about while I was in high school.  I was friendly with a few girls, but I was also too chickenshit to ask any of them out.

I’m pretty sure Rosie and her five sisters are up for it...

That’s a name I haven’t heard in a long, long time...

This is a great thing you’re doing.  Even if your brother isn’t coming to collect his Mustang any time soon, it’s good that you’re making it roadworthy again.

Attempted but gave it up in a Datsun pickup (she was 5'10" and I’m 6')

Well, there’s the problem!  You should have put a camper shell on the truck and thrown a mattress in the back.  Why do you think they call it a BED? ;)

Great to know I can once again walk right past the boxes of Grape Nuts as I pick up something else. ;)

Are you complaining or bragging?

The best you’re going to do with this one is keep up its maintenance, fix its issues, and use it as a nice driver.  With 145K on the clock, it’s not ever going to command collector prices.  I could be interested at $6K or maybe $7K, but as it stands this one is a big fat ND.

On further reflection, the bike in question might have been a Valkyrie.

Been there, done that - with the ‘91 Miata I used to own.  As you said, it isn’t particularly difficult but it is tedious.

I don’t ride, and at 53 I’m not going to start now (age plus disapproving spouse).  But I think this bike is worth what the seller is asking.  Sure hope all those carbs stay in sync, though.

I voted NP, but I also remember commenting on a Youtube vid in which a guy was taking a quick ride on an older Gold Wing he was selling (he’s in the business of selling used bikes). He said at one point in the video, “this bike has six carbs, and that’s AWESOME!!” (He uses the word “awesome” a lot.)

Is there any color that screams the ‘90s more than teal?  I don’t think so.
