Once upon a time I had FIVE sets of wheels for my ‘91 Miata. And three sets were OEM (one set of steelies, two sets of factory alloys).
The work done so far looks good, but even if it were complete I don’t think I’d pay thirteen and a half for this car.
Makers Mark is what I want at a minimum if I’m drinking bourbon. And I ain’t doing shots of it - I’ll take it on the rocks and nurse it for a while.
Yeah. Evan Williams is so bad, even Fireball is an upgrade.
So you lost in a blowout.
For most cars I agree. But for my ‘90 Miata, I think 15" wheels are about right unless I decide to add a big brake kit - which I don’t really need unless I either turbo or LS-swap it.
And that is, in my mind, a good reason to go up on wheel diameter. And 18's look good on your car.
Surprised nobody had snapped this one up yet, given that we already have Blessed Death, Septic Death, Death Vomit, and of course Death.
The pressure can be intense.
If you’re gonna make puns around here, you should tread lightly.
All the stars, friend.
(why does this spell checker underline centimeter?)
Really? That’s practically a motorcycle wheel.
Don’t know about Porsches, but on my Benz it seems that every bolt I’ve taken out was held in with Loctite.
I have a “plus 1" setup on my Miata - 15" wheels in place of the stock 14's. For my car, it’s a worthwhile upgrade because I can’t find any decent rubber for a 14" wheel anymore other than R-compound tires.
Big wheels over small brakes look dumb.
I did this with a ‘91 Miata for a couple years. I only drove it on the 13's once - to clean off the mold release compound. By doing this, I was able to fit 235-section tires under it, and with a stock powertrain it had no trouble getting off a corner (taking off the rear swaybar also helped with this).
It’s noon somewhere!
There’s no way I’d pay this kind of money for this Jeep, but I’m not a Jeep guy anyhow. ND for me, but this one will probably sell at or near asking price.
