Well, this *is* a badge-engineered Austin...

Back in the late 1980's, Ford released the MN12 Thunderbird. A number of car rags commented that its styling seemed to take inspiration from the BMW E24.

Nowadays, that $25K will get you into a pretty decent C5 Z06.  It may not have a V12 under the bonnet, but it will soundly thrash this 850Ci in the 0-60 sprint and be considerably cheaper to fix should anything go wrong.  OTOH, it does come with a typical GM Interior by Fisher-Price.... but you might be okay with that

However, I briefly imagined myself in that 850ci but quickly imagined having to buy 12 spark plugs and coils.

That fake price is as bad as dealers putting the monthly payment as the price. “Awesome car $350 (for 84 months at 94% interest and eleventy billion down)“

Too much money, too little information. And what is up with that front bumper cap?

Came here for this. Would have posted it myself if you hadn’t already.

But.... but.... according to someone who commented on the Morning Shift a few days ago it’s a hateful shitbox!

It is the children who are wrong!

These articles just aren’t the same without Torch or Orlove recommending something completely out of left field.  This would have been the perfect time for Orlove to recommend a Mitsubishi Delica.

My COVID projects have nothing to do with cars. I have gotten a few things done around the house, most recently hooking up a water line to our new refrigerator’s ice maker.

There are probably a few grail-shaped beacons out there yet...

TIL that De Tomaso still exists.

If the winners get Diet Coke, what do the losers get?  A colonoscopy?

Even if it were fortified (and I’m guessing this might not have been a thing in the 4th century) that wine bottle’s contents are probably vinegar by now.

There’s a possible Spam shortage on the horizon?
