I was pleased that I took all of my PTO last year, until I remembered “oh yeah, I only took enough days to get down to the maximum rollover, I still have 80 hours waiting.”  The thing is, PTO hours don’t count  towards overtime in my state, so taking a day off means a substantially smaller check for that pay period. 

People use those PTO days to fly to vacation destinations, duh. Maybe millennials are killing air travel?
