I always heard it was Pittsburgh on the left, Philly on the right, and Alabama in the middle.

But see, you yourself are giving an excellent defense for why Costas was as measured as he was in his criticisms. BECAUSE he was an insider, he had to be measured. Once he stopped being so measured, he got shitcanned. It’s a lose-lose situation, and from where I sit, he has handled as well as anyone possibly could

Kudos for listening to what people are saying here. But regarding this quote:

Also, regarding your quote:

Again, it’s a matter of degree -- immense degree, I acknowledge -- not kind.  Deadspin could not exist in its current form without extensive NFL coverage.  As Michael Corlione put it, “We’re all part of the same hypocrisy.”

I trust that Deadspin will now stop running any articles on NFL games, in light of your proclaimed policy of purity.

I’d trade Manhattan for Jeff Sessions being placed upon the top of an ICBM and shot into space.

He’s got a song called “New York” that’s okay.  He was in an alt-country band called Whiskeytown that was okay.  He also did a cover of “Wonderwall.” It’s okay.  He did an album that was all covers of a Taylor Swift album... I heard it was okay.

I really never understood the hoopla about him.

And yet still, I must say... GOSAINTSWHODATGEAUXGEAUXGUMBOGEAUX

The NFL’s Brand Equity is lodged in America’s taint.

So, Virginia (only 4.3% of employed in unions*, 51st “best” state/district overall to work**) and Tennessee (5.5%, 43rd). When you’re looking to take advantage of a corporate-friendly, labor-exploiting business environment, the South is always a winning bet.

I sort of get it.  They can watch home movies on their own time.

Meh, I was into Steve Kerr before it was “cool.”

No, that’s you.

I work at an independent high school. Any of these examples of “carelessness in attribution” in a school paper would have gotten her brought up before our Honor Council and found guilty, and possibly suspended.

This collapse is just nuts.

In fairness, Draymond actually owns that Buffalo Wild Wings, one of twelve locations he owns in the tri-state area.
