I liked the movie, but it strikes me as a little bit odd that the crash of 2008 looms so large. If him & his wife have no savings built in the near decade since, they should have already told their son he’s going ROTC or community college.

I truly thought she was going to weasel her way out of it — the door was wide open for her escape. But after Dory attempted murder for a second time, this time with full intention, there was really only one direction it could go.

this show doesn’t have enough depth to do a third season... or at least do one well. Tonight’s episodes were good, but before this it was 8 episodes of awful annoyingness and getting nothing accomplished from anyone - then they cram everything that should have been happening all season into the final two episodes.

The confrontation between Luke and Kylo Ren was marvelous. I loved how Luke was so totally in control of the situation, how he side-stepped all of Ren’s hits, and how he knew he had the upper hand.

I was simultaneously disappointed and absolutely in love with this entry.

I never expected to enjoy Hitchcock as much as I did in these episodes, but his “Good call. It was not tasteful” and “I want to humiliate some hussies, and I’m in a hurry” were among my favourite jokes tonight.

This hiatus is going to be way too long. Thank goodness syndication starts soon, because I’m going to miss these guys a lot. The last scene in Game Night was so lovely—it never fails to touch me how much everyone in the 99 supports each other.

I loved the later shot of Amy gearing up, mostly by putting her socks and shoes back on, but also the quick reveal that she now carries a Rosa-style ankle knife.

I’d say she had concern for the idea of Chantal she had in her head. Which was not at all the Chantal of reality. But yeah it was like 5% concern to 95% Dory looking for an outlet/meaning.

Props to the actress who plays Chantal, because she must be the most irritating, grating TV character I’ve seen in a long time. I’m physically uncomfortable whenever she’s onscreen.

Oh god, well if I recite everything that I’ve heard about from my brother* we’ll be here all day, so I’ll limit myself to the one time he visited us, Christmas before last. I won’t bore you with the details, but he took my brother’s (my other brother, who lives in the same house as me and our parents) car to go to the

Yeah... Chantal needs to go. She really gets on my nerves.

She’s just as nuts as the rest of them- she lets everybody in her life think she’s dead for weeks? and she buys Drew’s crap about the murder weapon?- but she’s the outsider to their group of four old friends. I wonder if the foursome won’t try to pin it on Chantal, like you said, and say she somehow coerced them into

It’s so funny because within the first 5 min of the pilot, she comes off as the worst, most self-centered character. But I’m now convinced she’s the one most likely to go to The Good Place in the end

Considering Jake invested 8k in a pyramid scheme right before he proposed and was already in debt, this is probably a good call.

i’m just finishing up watching all the pbs “sherlock” episodes so i loved watching hitchcock and scully’s powers of deduction!

Came here to post an appreciation for “And we let her have the front seat?!” I definitely had to rewind like four times because I couldn’t stop laughing over the next couple lines.

Why why whyyyy did the characters allow Portia to take a pic with border patrol?

I kind of wonder if Portia taking that selfie with the border patrol guy is going to be the beginning of the gang’s story unraveling. Seemed like a very clear mistake given they had just agreed to pretend they had never been in Canada.

Eliott’s freakout while digging had me laughing so hard and also his “and we let her have the front seat?!” was great. Everyone is excellent in this. Can’t wait to see where this season goes!
