^^^THIS. Holy shit, the immaturity with which he dealt with Mike and El was staggering. I was starting to feel like the only person who thought he was way out of line for that. Everyone also seems to forget that screaming fight he and El got into last season. That man is not equipped to be a father.

Related to that, Mike being an asshole teenager made me feel like Hopper’s reaction to him was WAY over the top. Being shitty and disrespectful is what teenagers do - Hopper, being the adult, should have had a more measured response to what is normal (albeit crappy) teenaged behavior. I know we can’t expect Hopper to

Exactly. Going from “flawed hero with emotional issues” to “loudmouthed shouty asshole” was pretty jarring.

This makes me glad I bailed after an episode and a half. I was so put off by the scene where he freaked out at Mike I knew my (once) favorite character was going to be unrecognizable for the rest of the season.

I can’t be the only one who finds it really effing weird that someone who is (was?) an avid hunter is now apparently obsessed with animals. Like, what are you hiding/covering up, dude?

I honestly almost barfed when I saw this cross my facebook feed. I definitely didn’t need to see his nasty white asscrack.

Honestly, what on Earth is wrong with the Star Wars fandom. They’re quickly approaching Sherlock levels of fuckery.

Absolutely true. I’m 38 and will likely never reach major life milestones (buying a house, having kids, etc.) because of my loan debt. Getting rid of that burden would change the course of my life, no exaggeration.

...I would hope that a 16 year old would at least have enough sense to realize when something is mean-spirited. If not, I’d question his upbringing...

She’s a strong independent dragon, she don’t need no man...

Haha, that’s what I thought too - almost identical to the Peter Vincent Strut. Though I wonder how much of that is him trying to create a specific walk for those characters, or just a function of him being very tall/All Legs. :-)

Exactly.  For a story about friendship, love, free will and what it means to be human, I thought it was perfect.

It really was. I’m always amazed at the amount of energy he seems to have. They must just give him a bunch of espresso and let him loose on the set, LOL.

The scene between Crowley and discorporated Aziraphale in the bar, while slightly awkward, was just the sweetest thing. The way Tennant played the whole “OMG you’re not dead!....whoa, I am way too drunk for this” was hilarious. And the way he looks around confused at the end when Aziraphale disappears like “wtf just

Just the sheer number of sick burns and owns the Brits are unleashing on Foolius makes me so happy.

Ew, that is in no way better.  He looks even slimier and creepier.

I’d say yes, keep going. I haven’t read the book and only knew the basic premise going into it, and about 3/4 into the first episode I was all “um.....okay?”. But it gets better and more engaging, IMO. Everything ties together really nicely at the end.

I tend to agree - his curmudgeonliness (is that a word?) stopped being cute a while ago and now he comes off as just a grouchy old man. The whole “nope, I AM this character and no one else should play him” comes off as really selfish.

It pains me to say it, but I have to disagree with Indy Harrison here.

LOL I was waiting for someone to mention Yaphit.
