Me, reading the headline: “Well, at least the music is cool”

I was just telling someone yesterday how much I loved this region’s music. Specifically once it’s the full arrangement with all of the vocal parts; not sure if other regions’ music did that and I only first noticed here and then in Cosmo Canyon, but it was a cool moment in both locations.

Everything is subjective. While I agree with you that the music in Gongaga kicks ass, I agree that it is also a confusing mess of a region to get through with almost no assistance and a garbage map

“For starters, it has the worst music of any of the regions I’ve visited so far.”

Bummer, there is a noted absence of shredding games that are quality. Shredders was outta left field.

Very sad news. I google SSX a few times a year just hoping there might be a new rumor about a sequel, port, remake, anything... Bought a second hand xbox just to be able to play SSX3

100% agree. I would also love to see a new entry in the series, but it seems unlikely...

Hearing free to play live service is the kind of monkeys paw that would have left me quickly burned out with the game.

Boo. The first SSX remains one of the best games of all time, IMO, and I still go back to it every couple years. Emulated and upscaled on a PC, it looks and plays great still; it’s the absolute peak of “arcade’y sports games”, coming from someone who generally never plays sports games of any kind.

It’s a super fun game that you pay for once and then play. No real chance to keep charging the player repeatedly. Obviously it wouldn’t work today.

All someone has to do is make SSX Tricky or 3 with a modern engine. Hell I'd take an official remaster from EA but they love to pretend like the entire EA Big lineup didn't ever exist and amount to some of their most creative games ever made.

This also makes me super sad to hear. I absolutely loved the SSX series. It was one of my first games I had on PS2. I put many hours into those games. I remember the reboot they made on... PS3 I think. I was hyped to revisit the series, so I bought it despite my skepticism. It was cool and overall they made a polished

Do you have a point other than just splitting hairs? The controller shaking things up is still the system shaking things up. The controller is an aspect of the system.

Considering how unexpectedly weird and different most Nintendo consoles are from the previous ones, I don’t put a lot of stock in analysis that says “the same, but more powerful”.

I’m happy to be proven wrong, since a more powerful switch is what I want, but Nintendo hasn’t operated like that for a long time, for

if i can be just a little honest here: the missing block quote was actually my fault. the kinja had it previously, but the cms decided not to keep it when i published the post after checks and edits. (gotta love kinja, right?) that said i appreciate y’all not dragging me for this. as you’ve noted, g/o media’s been

Peacock is a great service to use much cheaper compared to Netflix as well

You have something against Peacock? It’s more affordable than Netflix.

Peacock is much better than Netflix in pretty much every way, but I guess I get the tonedeaf appeal to the bigger money...

Pfft it’s been on Prime in Canada for months now. Suckers.

Yeah no, I don’t have Netflix, I cancelled it long ago because it kept getting more and more expensive. I do, however, have Peacock, it’s cheap, has The Office, and gets quite a few other things that make it worth it. Weird insult/flex, many, many people have been dropping Netflix due to the constant price hikes and
