Agreed. Another option is TotalWireless, which is Verizon as well. I get 2 lines of 30GB for $60 (technically it’s “unlimited” but they drop you to 2G after 30GB, which sounds painful - we rarely use more than 5-6 per month).

AGREED. And that’s been my point to everyone for years. They can say that there are “bad apples” but when the rest of the department keeps protecting them, they are ALL bad apples for doing so. Yet, this keeps getting ignored as well.
Except they didn’t build it. Per the article, the turbo models are all automatic...
Counterpoint - maybe HBO (and CBS in your example) are asking for too much money/control/private-info from Roku, and Roku disagreed? The point is, the argument can go both ways... and we don’t know today. I’m not saying Roku is the hero, nor am I saying HBO is... we just don’t know (and likely never will). But you…
Love the idea of the Genie. Had it running with our previous cats. Two problems - one cat always peed over the edge, which meant it was everywhere outside the box. The second problem was that, unknowingly, one refused to pee in it at all (though he loved to lie down in it after the drying cycle... which was yet…
Interesting thought. However, this would imply the fly is inside the camera. Not impossible, but unlikely?
Agreed - I remember my bright red 86 Daytona Turbo Z CS as well! And, I agree with the speeding tickets... I got all sorts of BS tickets in that car, most were when I wasn’t even speeding. I tried fighting them, but I wasn’t as good at it back then, so I lost them all. Heck, I had my license suspended because of it.…
That’s what I figured as well... not a big threat for users like us (rewards card only).
So what would be my takeaway? I used it for convenience and for rewards cards, that’s it. I used an old email address... should I care? What is the threat if people have their rewards cards shared? Honestly, I’m curious about what I should be concerned with here.
I think we’re on the same page... and it’s nice to have an internet forum conversation that doesn’t devolve to name calling and other crap! Thank you for being so “good” here!
I have, and they have noticed that the approved modem isn’t showing up, so they came out to fix it. Point is, if it’s on their approved list, they’re required to support it... and in my experience, even Comcrap has done this task without much issue.
I don’t disagree that there are good IT departments. I’ll admit I haven’t run across one in the 3 mid-to-large companies I have worked at. I usually know more than they do, and because of that they are threatened by me and then threaten me for doing normal things. For example, in this current one, I had to edit the…
Can you provide a link to this “adapter”? That might help us understand what it actually is, and what it’s doing.
I’m so glad our company IT is so lazy and incompetent. Because they’re lazy, they transitioned to O365 so I can now access Outlook without having to be on the VPN at all. For years, they had us on an old version of Outlook which non-sensically required VPN access... now I can be off it, which eliminates the problem…
My question is, can we finally do HTML signatures, or are they still plaintext only?
My company car is a base model RAV4, which I call the shitmobile. Awful vehicle for so many reasons. But in this case, I often floor the pedal just to get the damn thing to move... it’s so awfully slow. Toyota motors are great, but the trans in this thing is geared too high and constantly shifts up for “fuel…
Anyone have any advice on how to backup data FROM your Google account to a PC? For example, I have tons of photos on GPhotos, but I want to be able to back them up to my PC/NAS.
Can’t star this comment enough. Americans are too “scared” (or dumb) to use all their pedal travel. Floor the damn thing, get up to speed, and all is fine. I often find myself held up by V6 vehicles of all kinds when driving my company RAV4 (I4 with 176 hp). I happily floor it... but people with these “big engine” or…
Or, people could stop buying stupidly small battery phones (I’m looking at you, iPhones, and the Android copycats, too). My LG V30 (and the previous Moto Droid Turbo) both have 3000mAh+ batteries, which allow them to run for 2 days without a charge. I’m sure I could try to drain them faster than this, but in my…
Drivers ed books are often inaccurate or out of date. They tell you to look to the law to see what you must do. Since you are unable to do this, let me be explicit. If “there is a person standing at the side of the road” then you do not have to yield, as the law says (CT Ch 249 sec 14-300): “each operator of a vehicle…
