I personally am thrilled at the notion of seeing the Lakers draft Ball, his janky-ass jumper, and his albatross of a father.
Rooting for the C’s to pick Ball and have his dad stonewall the deal
-Amherst is no longer the Lord Jeffs. (Officially they never were, I don’t think) They are now the Mammoths.
-Counterpoint: Banana Slugs is awesome.
Ahem, Alabama has no over-the-table pro sports.
Interesting, I would argue Richard and company had so many advantages due to the draft rules being provincial at the time, that leadership wasn’t that important in lieu of the overwhelming talent that the Habs were always gifted on a silver platter. It was also a much harder road to win after expansion. It’s…
Did Mark Messier make the list? Or did his Vancouver experience knock him out? He is still the only player to Captain two separate teams to championships in the only North American sports where the captain actually matters.
I think it’s fair to say that Jeter was a decent captain. But Yogi Berra’s 49 to 53 teams won five titles in a row, with a level of talent that was shockingly low relative to Jeter’s crew. The elite “freak” teams in sports were better than the sum of their parts. You can’t say that about his teams.
I’m debating. I’d love to see the Cavs try to repeat against a reloaded Warriors team, but damn if the Celtics wouldn’t be a fun upset. Of course then I’d have to side with Boston fans. So I’m still undecided. It’s probably best that I just go in thinking the Cavs will win and get pleasantly surprised if it doesn’t…
Ya gotta admit, he got into ass-play before it was cool.
he was a “great captain” because every front-running mouth-breather who grew up in the 90's couldn’t wait to hitch their wagon to the next marketable “star”
“Forced their hand” was deemed to be a little “on the nose” in light of the hiring of the Baylor guy.
Text without voicing: Nope. Like most JRPG’s, only a very minimal (and somewhat arbitrary) subset of conversations are fully voiced.
We talk a lot about LeBron having a free trip because of the East, but in 9 of their 11 playoff series in the last three years the Warriors have faced a team that has at least one injured starter. The only healthy starting five they’ve faced in the West was OKC last year, and they were down 3-1 before a miracle…
Wife had a red Del Sol, sluggish with the automatic but fun to drive around topless (just the car, alas). Traded for a used Grand Cherokee the week our first child was born.
Del Slow. Hahahahaahaha!! JK. I actually love Honda.
it is not well known that take out receives tips. Normally the food is either left with the hostess or the bartender. The only places I've ever seen differentiate are chain restaurants. I still tip because it's what I do, but tipping on picking up your food is bullshit. The chefs don't see the tip. You walking it two…
The problem is that everyone understands that waiters are paid less than minimum wage and depend on tips, but the policy for to-go orders is not a standard approach across the industry. I get to-go orders all the time from a neighborhood restaurant and I know that the person working the phone and the front counter…
You deserve a proper wage from your employer, not a tip, don't try to make customers feel guilty and top up your earnings, demand proper compensation from your boss.
