I used my Z-plan to get a new Mach-E for around these used money and even the eAWD Ext Battery non-GT models are entertaining enough to drive when you want to.

Rich people just loooooove their lakefront properties.  My parents live in rural Tennessee and there are a number of manmade lakes and dams nearby. It was reasonably affordable until 10 years ago. Now its just as much as it costs in California. To live near a “lake” that gets drained down pretty regularly.

Literal lakefront property isn’t really the point, it’s that if we really do live out the climate change doomsday, only the wealthy will be able to live within 500 miles of the worlds biggest and most reliable source of clean drinking water, while everyone else drinks well water with iron and lead in it.

This already happened long ago. There is little desirable and affordable lake property in Michigan. There are places on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan that would make you think you’re in Malibu.

May those souls RIP but it’s fun watching Trump’s Titanic tour. Please don’t shoot him, don’t want a potentially semi electable replacement candidate. Only good line from Bush "next stop the dustbin of history".

I used to think cruises were horrible but I went on my first one, I liked it mainly because I needed to turn off my phone for a few days and relax.

Fun fact for the fine folks of Michigan- as sea levels rise and climates warm, get ready for a bunch of rich folks to move to your most picturesque spots, jack up the prices and price you right out of your home and then call you unamerican for daring to be poor in their presence.

Busy zip-tying flags to their Ram 2500s. Also, they don’t do so much reading, so you’re gonna need to have Joe Rogan tell them about it if you want their opinion.

as much as I despise Trump and Elon, well it’s a given China will dominate if both USA and Germany can’t make cheap brand new EV cars that people want

Teslas are definitely not known to have bugs after updates where people can’t open their doors, even with the manual latch, or because it resets a setting buried in the menu for some reason blocking the capability of the manual release. I mean, not even a five second search of Google will give you plenty of this info.

Seriously though, what are those union bros over at Stellantis factories even thinking? Do they realise that Stellantis is a French company now and Carlos Tavares could easily move production of Jeeps and Dodges in Mexico and Canada and nobody would bat an eye? The whole, “built in America” doesn’t sell that well when

We gonna get the tesla_fan guy in here telling us that this isn’t a big deal, cars blow up all the time, my Teslas haven’t blown up yet, see!

Kamala Harris is doing her best to keep him relevant by promising to spend US taxpayer money to provide healthcare to people who are in the country illegally:

Why was that? Were the doors wedged shut (as can happen to any car) or were they unable to open the doors because Tesla won’t install actual door handles?

So if I’m reading you right, none of us should be buying cars capable of exploding in an impact?

Don’t buy these deathtraps under any circumstances. They’re unstable, dangerous, and buying one simply funds a fascist oligarch.

agreed on the Optima seats, having had a couple as rentals. one of those times involved spending 8ish hours on the road in a day, too. not the worst ever, but also not great.

No kidding. I went to test drive an AWD turbo one and immediately bought it. Dealer had a 2023 turbo premium plus with 7800 miles for 26k, but sadly it sold the night before I went in. Still ended up with  an AWD turbo and it’s the most fun car I’ve ever driven.

Most regular cars from regular manufacturers from Japan or South Korea will NOT have parts availability issues, even if they go bankrupt. I have a 10 year old Mazda which I maintain myself, and I can find absolutely EVERYTHING I need on Rockauto.com. You’re always going to get charged more at the dealer for parts, but

My mother in law has a Forte. The fit and finish on it is pretty nice as cheap cars go, and it drives fine. It rattles less than my Cadillac.
