Think you’re gonna need to pay the “dog tax” on this and post some pics, if you can.

Edit: nevermind. Not worth commenting on.

Agreed. You might make an argument that the Boomer generation kinda, maybe sorta still likes clowns because they grew up with Bozo... but nope. I’m firmly Gen X and when I hear “clown” I immediately go to “Pennywise.”

100% would try

It gets the clicks.

Same here in Ohio- I’ve had no real issues with the DMV for 25+ years.

At first, when I saw that picture it looked like all the people holding cameras at him were actually holding weapons.

“It’s the only way to be sure!”

My 1989 gray Toyota Supra turbo. First car I ever bought. Mom sent my dad with me to make sure I didn’t get taken by the dealer (I was 19) and that I got something practical. We came back with the Supra and she was PISSED, but my god, what a car. I’ll never have anything like that again.

We must have a “Twilight Zone/Mirror Universe” Kia dealership near me (OH) because we’ve bought 4  Kias from them and every time it’s been pretty painless- I’m happy to be an outlier!

You’re goddamned right. Any other answer is incorrect!!

Interesting. I had a 2017 Optima SXL and had no issues with the seats, but to each their own. I got a little over 250,000 miles outta that car!

My wife took her Soul in for the “complimentary” first oil change and they upsold her $200 of stuff she didn’t need. That was just shitty.

I have to be the outlier here, but my family’s had 4 Kias (Soul, Sportage, Optima and now my K5) so far, all from the same dealership, and we’ve had zero problems with them.

It’s apparently a software issue:

That’s what everyone’s been saying- I was on the K5 Reddit page, however, and I guess there are some that *only* have adaptive cruise control, and it can’t be undone. I’m one of the unlucky ones, I suppose.

I wish that worked! This is a 2024 K5 GT Line, and I’ve mashed the cruise button to no effect, turned off all the HDA stuff and it’s still adaptive cruise or nothing. I love the car otherwise!

I like maintaining a certain speed on the highway, and am aware enough of the traffic around me that I don’t need the car to slow me down when I get within 100 feet or so of another vehicle. I guess it’s a matter of control, maybe?

I absolutely HATE adaptive cruise control. If there was a way to shut it off and just use “regular” I’d do it, but as far as I can tell (2024 K5) it’s either that steaming pile or nothing.

Last couple of WEEKS? Good grief, this only happened to me yesterday. I applaud your patience!
