Bone stock in my cars ride height of ~5", my eye level is barely reaching door handles on some stock trucks now.

Something like that relies on people following the law. Which, okay, will help, but it’s not going to significantly reduce numbers. You can make the case that even one death spared is worth lowered speed limits across the nation. After all, a human life vs a bunch of people taking 5 minutes longer to get somewhere.

Yep. The Koreans are going to win this.

Weight restrictions or height? You say weight and then comment on how tall a truck is. If it’s weight it’s going to hit a lot of EV’s and some hybrids too because they are heavy.

Meanwhile, Ford, GM, and the corpse of Chrysler are doing nothing about this, other than cranking out more overpriced ICE giant trucks, and will come crying to the government for bailouts when they can’t compete against Korea, Chinese, and Vietnamese manufacturers who offer basic electric cars that people can actually

I saw this from multiple angles last night.  The tow truck driver did not hit the bus.  He turned the corner and his truck fell off the tow truck and rolled in front of a bus.  The truck owner took off IN the tow truck and drove away, finally ditching the tow truck a few blocks away.  This has video from many

I had to go to our local equivalent of the DMV this morning. While there, I had the pleasure of listening to a guy at the counter refuse to understand for nearly 20 minutes that he had to pay his parking fines in order to renew his license plate. Let me say I hate the “DMV” and all the regulatory nonsense they enforce

The KIA dealer I bought my mother’s Soul from was “fine”, no particular complaints. But they are not even in the same league as my BMW dealer in any way, shape, or form. I just wish BMW still had cars I wanted to buy.

It’s commonly referred to as a “new york state of mind”

The average price is meaningless when so many *choose* to buy very expensive trucks, SUVs, and EVs.

You see the Jersey plates?  That explains it right there.

I just bought a new car for 39k out the door and it’s the most I’ve ever paid for one.  People must be in debt up to their eyeballs.

You can literally see the man enter the truck at the begining of the video. You mostly described the tow truck operator... good job.

thats the free market baby! free from the pesky laws of democratic oversight.

Now if they could only offer a dealership experience that wasn’t actively trying to upset every customer that walked through the door.

I don’t care if I’m minority but KIA’s current design is slightly easier in the eyes compare to current BMW’s design

First Gear: For the love of god, Tesla (and Waymo and the rest), stop forcing the public to participate in your half-baked experiments against their will.

How are people this unhinged? I mean, by this reaction, it seems this guy was ready to blow up at any minute. What the fuck?

How little do these people process their decisions that they think stealing the tow truck is going to be some sort of solution to the problem?

Not an even test, the Kia is fully loaded with sport suspension, wheel and tire options but the BMW is a base 530i without even the M-Sport Suspension. The BMW also weighs more being a luxury car and was able to basically keep up with the Kia even with 35 less horsepower and would probably out-drive it if comparably

Man, if only there were some way to confirm this theory.
