I leased an i3 for 3 years as my only car, worked fine, but winter range will plummet. I got 150 miles in normal summer driving, and about 80-90 in winter on highway. For holiday trips I just carpooled with my brother. Monthly payment was only $400 and the savings for fuel was a nice bonus.

Think about what you just said... a relatively maintenance free, used BMW. Take all the time you need.

The “range extender” is a complete joke. It seems like something you would want, but in order to still call it an electric car, the limits placed on the range extender make it all but pointless.

Ahh, here’s that old conservative straw-man question, meant to kill all progressive ideas.

One day, likely before 2035 there will be capacities for all folks from 200mi range to >500mi. Everyone can buy what they want

Sounds like an opportunity for a jobs program. Too bad we don’t have a bunch of people laying around that could help out with that or trillions in economic stimulus in the pipeline. In the mean time, we better put more pressure on that TikTok fellow and make sure mail-in voting (in targeted communities) gets abolished.

This reads more as a pitch to never buy a Rover vs. a reason to buy the extended.

But, but, tRicKlE doWn EcoNoMiCS.

Caravana and Carmax are growing for one reason. Used car dealers suck. They are dishonest, high pressure, pains in the ass to deal with and everyone is sick of it. I know I can probably get the car cheaper somewhere else, but I don’t care. I want to go buy the car and not feel like I need to take a bath in Clorox

It’s much easier to shit on things than to actually analyze and see the amazing progress. It’s why the internet sucks - lazy people complain all day.

Tesla has produced four completely new vehicles in eight years, built an expanding global charging network, built an energy storage business, an AI business, sends up rockets, etc etc etc.

Most haven’t been on time, but since you asked, the Model Y was supposed to come out in Fall 2020, according to Musk during the unveiling, but Tesla started delivering them in March 2020.

Well, legacy automakers (and their advocates) have been promising the “Tesla Killers” are just around the corner for the past several years and it’s all mostly vaporware or costs substantially more.

That’s a bit of a pointless statement. Without bothering to fact check the numbers, I’ll just point out that it is much easier for Europeans to move to the US than for Americans to move there, due to EU zone rules on hiring.

Interesting that in “over-regulated” Europe people are generally healthier and happier.

It’s a heavily facelifted 370z. As a former 350z owner (I really enjoyed it), the interior especially is basically identical, with limited updates suggesting a refresh rather than a new model.

The current Republican base is built on hypocrisy.

Flip side of the coin, I clicked on this article about F1 racing and just watched some videos of him racing while at work. I’ve never watched a minute of F1 racing in my life and wouldn’t have today without this article piquing my interest because I agree with the driver

Fun fact. The US doesn’t even get the “best” explorer ST. The European version comes with the 3.0 ecobost AND an electric engine good for another hundred horses.
