The Inflation Reduction act and funding to manufacture batteries in the US does not say nor mean that we are going to cut off China or decouple from the global market. It’s pretty telling that China feels so threatened by the move.

The Tesla Model S is 10 years old and as far as I know, looks just like it did in 2012. If nothing else, the Air should jolt Tesla into some design upgrades and changes.

These stories clearly show that the Tesla-style direct-to-consumer sales model is the way to go.
