I think most people, car enthusiasts or not, want their car to react when they are operating it. With a traditional automatic, there always feels like there is a delay, whether it is up shifting or down shifting. CVT helped fix a lot of that and make cars more responsive.

20a 120V chargers are enough for most people. Thats a typical kitchen or garage outlet. In many other countries, the easy solution is to pass a law that prevents HOAs or apartment management from blocking the installation of charging outlets in garages.

In the 70’s, unleaded gas was more expensive and not as good as leaded gas. It has obviously improved since. People complained a lot about it and how cars would cost more because of catalytic converters. Today no one questions that those were good ideas.

The bans aren’t happening for many years. Dates have to be set if targets are going to be met.

Or, hear me out, lower the prices of the S and X. They are nice vehicles, but they are overpriced.

There is a simple reason more people aren’t upgrading to a model S and X - price. A model s is more than twice the price of a 3. That’s a hard sell.

Only when doing a road trip. So about twice a year.

“This guy could do that regardless. He’s clearly willing to break the law.”

Thanks! That’s helpful.

Wholly clickbait, Batman.

The element was the Kia Soul before there was a Kia soul.

Only in the U.S. would they allow someone who has mental health issues a firearm, allow cops to execute people “if they feel scared,” and then justify the killing of someone with mental health problems.

I’m thinking more along the lines of a state/fed policy that has higher amounts. Essentially the state or federal government being the single insurer.

I lived in FL for a few years and insurance on my 7 year old Nissan Altima was $1200 every 6 months. I hadn’t filed a claim in over 10 years and could not understand why it was so high. I had a long conversation with an insurance agent and they explained it was because of the natural disasters and that half the state

As someone else mentioned, the scenario you are outlining is essentially self insuring. If/when there is a claim, you will be responsible for all costs, instead of it being spread amongst everyone. This approach is common with large businesses because a claim against the policy will maintain cashflow, however the

As long as insurance is for-profit, expect it to be expensive.

Inflated car prices = inflated car repairs.

If I were to take the owner’s manual at face value, according to it I never need to change the fluid. That is 100% bullshit.”

Yeah, I imagine that may be another valid method in the future. I.e., a tow truck pulls up, drags the car for an exit or two on the highway, and let’s you be on your way.
