The vast majority of them chose a life of drugs and theft at a young age. Instead of working and making a living trying to support themselves, they chose drugs, theft, and violence.

“Why don’t you focus on the real problem of local governments training their citizens that it’s ok to not work”
While “housing supply, rising rents, and stagnant wages” may be responsible for homelessness, leaving substance abuse, it’s pretty weird to leave out substance-abuse, addiction and lack of access to mental health care.
Sounds like your family is fucked up!
My favorite tip is to stop washing your windows. Dirty windows are more visible to birds!
Unfortunately, it’s been shown that feeding outdoor cats does not significantly affect how many birds they kill, because cats will hunt even if they aren’t hungry. (It’s hard-wired behavior, so about the only thing that stops them from hunting is keeping them engaged doing something else, or keeping them indoors.)
Lol they don’t produce awful light. I mean sure you can always buy bottom of the barrel LED bulbs, but it sounds like you’re basing your experience of them from what was around a decade ago. My LIFX bulbs are absolutely unmatched, especially so with being able to adjust the white balance. The emitted light is far…
Don’t forget to check your electric providers’ website. DTE for example has deals on LED bundles all the time. I’ve bought two different boxes from them at around $15 shipped, and it had anywhere between 20-30 bulbs each time. I’m so stocked up on different styles/wattages of LED bulbs right now that I’ll probably…
There will always be troglodytes.
Here in California, a standard 60W incandescent costs a bit less than $5 a bulb.. You can buy 5 Packs of 60W LED replacements for about $5 on sale or buy individual LED bulbs at Discount stores for $1.25. I used to sell lighting and I’m particular about color.. The new LEDs are perfectly fine color-wise and last…
I honestly haven’t noticed a difference in my hydro bill. The entire house is all LED now, and has been for at least 5 years. I assume it’s because in that time, computers have demanded more energy, there are more devices in the house, and we’ve had a pandemic where we’re working from home 100%.
I don't know the price now, but I gotta lot of LED bulbs from Ikea for a $1 each.
Another usage note: During the summer, turning on that 60W bulb is essentially turning on a ~60W heater inside your home. If you’re using AC, you’re going to have to pay again to move all that heat outside your house.
This seems like an odd article to readers in the UK where incandescent bulbs have been largely banned for years now because they’re so inefficient. Anywhere you’re using the bulb regularly you’re likely to be saving money within a year.
I’m a self-bagger. I mostly just make sure that frozen items or refrigerated items are in my thermal bag. The rest of the stuff is weight-distributed, because I’m weak. When I get home, I put away cold stuff and get to the rest of it when I get to it.
From earlier this month, the text version:
“How to tell when your boss is lying ?” Uh...their lips are moving...
the author of this piece is a fiction writer. he writes stuff like this all the time. he could make money by writing comedy instead, for example coming up with a series of utterly absurd lifehacks (like these here, but on purpose).
Or if you post a slideshow instead of a list.
If you are posting a video instead of the actual information, YOU are the toxic one.
