Well I’m gay, so I’m okay with that as long as they dropped that racial purity shit.
Yeah but these medics bigoted beliefs are being reinforced the Bigot and Chief. They didn’t think she was human and worthy of their time. This poor woman and her poor family.
That sounds very 80s.
That was one of the cool things about the cantina scene in the original. Just about everyone in there was a different alien of some kind and no one batted an eye.
Agree. I remember when Shatner did that, I can’t imagine the vile comments and hateful remarks he would receive today.
Wasn’t his character fired for doing that, as part of an entire episode showing how nasty and pointlessly spiteful fans could be over things that were insignificant and meaningless in the greater scheme of things? Because that was what I took away, that you were supposed to be kind of rah-rah’ing along to his rant…
YES. That one’s my favorite, tied with the one where they rescue Daisy’s dog from the kennel. :)
Oh god, the ep where they go to the club is the BEST. I want that A-Team remix SO BAD. Godspeed you, Tyres, you stoner genie. XD

I’ve liked Simon Pegg since “Spaced” (totally worth watching -really funny). Reading this made me remember a scene when he is working in a comic shop and yells at a small boy for wanting to buy a Jar Jar Binks toy. I imagine he regrets writing that now.
The movies are not stupid, the rabid fans are stupid. The fact that there are racist remarks is absurd, these stories are set in outer fucking space with all types of different species. How dumb are these people.
Thank god I was around to see the first three in theaters. Those are the only ones that count.
