Point #3 is the most obvious indicator that something is going to be disappointing if your expectations are off. Going into a buying decision with the idea that a 250 dollar device is going to replace a 1200 dollar device without having any significant compromises is pretty bananas.

I’ve been happy with my first gen AirPods and the only reason I’m upgrading to these is because I was listening to Leo Laportes The Tech Guy podcast and he had a guy on there that was talking about earbuds and said the ANC buds were better at high volume levels for your hearing, and lead to less hearing loss.
