Diabetes I and II runs in my family, too.  (Thinking about it now, I’m quite lucky to have gotten away with anxiety, depression, and chronic dry scalp.)

The last part of what you wrote (really all of it but especially that part) made me feel all the feels (I know, corny), without Latuda I’d most likely not be here or I’d be in a very dark, dangerous place. I find this woman and her take on mental health dangerous and the coverage on her is grating on my nerves.

I also hate that... especially when people share those dumb memes... the ones as a picture of a beautiful forest and “this is antidepressants” “not this” and a picture of pills.

Depression is a disease that literally kills people.

Reaganomics and most of the Republican platform then and now is based on the idea that if you give people (and corporations are people, remember?) the choice, they will do what is right on their own and find a better, more economical way to do it than if the government forces them to. But all evidence points to the

I tell anybody who will listen that Zoloft saved my life.

THIS THIS THIS THIS! When anyone starts trash-talking antidepressants around me, I shut it down quickly by pointing out that without them, I -- or, quite possibly, other people (my anger ratchets up when I’m untreated) -- would be dead. I’m glad you’re here. <3

Reagan was actually a fcking terrible person and an even worse president. I’ve never fcking understand all the boomer worship surrounding that prick. He was an idiot and bad for the country. I guess it’s nice they have a type...

Every time someone says that thing about not having a racist/misogynist/homophobic bone it means that the person being spoken of is a virulent waste of a human who definitely has several of those types of bones in their body. I’ve never heard that phrase spoken of or by anyone who isn’t objectively terrible.

Yeah, I’m a dentist now, several of my classmates in school were quite religious and when we discussed they believed “micro-evolution” - so like the evolution we can observe in bacteria - exists, but that “macro-evolution” - like humans - does not.

Imagined conversation between Ted Cruz and Brett Kavanaugh:

Omg I am soooo shocked that an old white Republican man was racist omgggggg.

Yeah, I know. It’s just shocking to discover that someone who is supposed to understand basic science is such a fucking idiot.

I work for a med school. You only have to be very good at memorizing stuff and not faint when you see blood.

Jesus, how did he get through med school??

Maybe they're still uncomfortable in shoes.

This photo, and the art behind Reagan’s head, reminds me of the rheumatologist I went to who had pencil drawings of Reagan, GWB, GHWB on hanging on his office walls. I told him I was studying anthropology at the time, and he said “Ah, so you believe we all came from dolphins and all that.” Mmm... what a time to be

The undeserving poor need to pull themselves up by bootstraps. Oh they don’t have boots? Too bad.

Reaganomics: The wealthy needs to keep more of their money because they know what to do with it better than the poor folks.”

Imagine being so privileged that you can not only just think Reagan wasn’t racist, but literally write a biography about him and still think that.
