I get your point but she’s a repeat offender with a record.

Sooo he didn't need pictures or proof to have her carted off to jail? Just his word? How nice that must be.

Yeah, I seem to recall it having started out almost like a documentary...and then they decided to turn it into “reality television” where the producers were actively instigating fights and drama and shit.

One can only hope for the sake of the child.

As she should. She’s obviously in no shape to be a parent at this point.

Important to not use mental health issues as an excuse to be terrible to people.

She can go screw off in prison...

Amber is hard to get behind because she’s one of those people who can talk the talk about mental illness and her struggles, but there doesn’t seem to ever be a fundamental change in her behavior. She may have stopped the drug use but she’s still quick to anger, defensive, aggressive, rude and unwilling to accept

Yeah, working in mental health, the hardest people to work with were those who...

She’s twenty-nine?!?

These shows are pure exploitation. The worst part is they act like there’s some sort of “therapeutic” angle by having “Doctor” Drew do the interviews.

There are people on there arguing that mermaids can’t be black because science.

“When a five-month-pregnant woman initiates a fight and attacks another person, I believe some responsibility lies with her as to any injury to her unborn child.”- Danny sounds like he’s spoiling for a fight.

This is perfect casting. Halle’s vocals and her innocence is perfect for this role.

I LOL’d at the racists thinking that a mythological creature has a race. Also, casting Ariel as a black girl makes perfect sense, her story is all about wanting to be “part of that world” and being excluded whilst trying to assimulte.

Yes, I always said Ariel is an anthropologist! She has always wanted to go study the land and the human stuff, Eric is just a catalyst. She finally sees some humans up close, they’re having a fun looking party and don’t seem to be monsters at all, then she actually gets to rescue a pretty one, so being a teen she

Has racist twitter’s head exploded yet?

The positive role model, such as it were, is Ursula - woman made an amazing career for herself despite social exclusion, does not lie to Ariel about the exchange, writes a brilliant contract, and owns her own identity and sexuality. Plus she knows what’s up with men.

Pleasant Grove Police Department’s Lt. Danny Reid sounds like an huge asshole.

So maybe arrest whoever shot her and actually killed her child?

Ok so, I feel like that’s a very surface reading of the film.
