My mom was on the school board of our local district for years and years, and was the only liberal-leaning person holding strong on the need for a powerful public school system until being voted out by a bunch of conservatives tired of local tax dollars being spent for the good of the community.…

I feel like school boards are far more fond of totalitarianism than your precious “freedom”. 

Rules are meant to be broken. Laws aren’t. It’s not against the law to walk out of school in protest.

Most school board members are people I would not want to associate with but this is a new low.
