I’m trying to get into this mentality, but I used to have more free time for games and took completion as a point of pride. Argh.

I made the mistake of typing “/timeplayed” in WoW once.

I find it’s usually indie games that pull me in for hours. Outside of big open-world games, AAAs tend to fall into 10-40-hour campaigns; whereas roguelites and survival games really chew up the hours.

Perhaps, but the fact that it the viewership fell off a cliff after the first week proves that most who started it didn’t like it enough to finish.
