Hey, I hate entitled toxic nerds as much as anyone, but do you really think they’re the reason Netflix cancelled this? Honestly, aren’t they just a vocal minority? I’d think it was just a simple supply-and-demand reason for cancelling. Not enough demand and too high a cost to supply.

By...not watching it?

“Death threats aren’t cool BUUUUUT...” is always a take where a poster should just not hit “publish” here. And it happens way too much on Kotaku comment threads.

Given the last several haven’t been terribly good, replacing the decision makers may be a good thing

It’s a sad state of affairs for sure; it seems the corporate infrastructure is pre-set for every dev as they grow. Typically those bought out by publishers always fall from grace. Even those devs that don’t eventually set themselves up in a way to pinch pennies/underpay talent and overcharge their customers.

It Is 2021. Star Citizen Has Raised $400,000,000, And Is Still Not Out.

Think one of the reasons Gamers (TM) get so mad about reviewers making comparisons because they assign the most cynical possible motives to every reviewer. Always the silliest, most negative assumptions - like that the reviewer only knows Persona and not any other JRPG series rather than Persona being the (obvious!!!)

For real! I get this is business as usual for megacompanies swallowing up other developers, but if there was ever a time you DON’T want to go slapping Activision or Blizzard’s name on things you would think it would be now. They even had that recent trailer for Call of Duty that didn’t have a big Activision logo

I have no idea why in the world they would write their network code like this, this seems like something some amateur SQL developer would do by opening a new connection when they iterate over every field in a transaction instead of just keeping one connection up and going through the transactions. It’s going to be so

Helicopters are your nemesis in the game.

The main villain of San Andreas was Samuel L Jackson in a version of the Rampart Scandal.

The series arch villain of GTA, Helicopter.

Having a connection using TCP (instead of UDP) is optional but it’s good for non-time-sensitive data. (Everything except actually playing matches themselves and voice chat. That should go through a UDP connection.) TLS is mandatory for security.

I am now gonna bug my friends and family to watch Ted Lasso using this method

haha the weird nerds get mad every time

Beat me to jagoffs *shakes tiny fist*

Well, that explains why when I play RE Village on Steam, my CPU usage was extremely high. Many times I’d see my CPU go from like 5%0 to then 70% or 80+%, even on 1440p which should in theory use less CPU than 1080p. I did find it very suspicious why I could see random CPU spikes like this for no real reason. I should

Can confirm. The cracked version is a lot better. No more stuttering after killing a monster and it also has 10~15% less CPU usage on my end.

I downloaded the Denuvoless crack to apply to my purchased steam version of the game and sure enough the performance is much better! I’m all for the idea of DRM protecting developers from losing capital on pirated games but, Denuvo has continued to prove more harmful than good. At this rate games are getting cracked
