That’s expensive for alot of people. Most of the meat they pulled out will be far cheaper store/farm bought than if they bought an all you can eat pass (which is time limited too anyways).  

After beating a game like Fallout without cheating I almost always go back and play through with maxed out stats, etc, as game content is almost always hidden behind success.

So I guess salmonella isn’t a thing in China? 

Well, except for that one part where you go “Respuct muh uthoritay!” and then I failed the roll, then made a series of decisions that resulted in me having the main character shoot himself in the head because no one believed he’d actually do it............to prove a point....... (fortunately I had a recent auto-save)

Fair enough. Jesus though, I’d forgotten Slayers was even a thing that existed until you mentioned it just now, lol. Hell, I might even still have a couple VHS tapes of it down in the basement...

Don’t forget how fixing a bug often brings two more to the surface :)

“Polish-ing”

I made a ton of money in the early game because I spectacularly failed a skill check. I love this game.

basically all the polish developers finished the game and they want to spend the next 6 months playing it (and occasionally fixing things)

I honestly do not understand how anyone thought this would: 1) be an interesting retelling of DBZ; 2) be a good RPG, and C) be a good fighting game.

Control was among my three best games of 2019, and he really ought to play that, I agree.

Fun trivia: Ben “Yahtzee” Crowshaw actually wrote a script for DNF. 3D Realms apparently liked it, but passed on it.

By sheer dumb luck Stanley found a comment in a blog post referencing what he now knew to be the video game that was his life. That thought was rapidly followed by how to collect points, what the points would be for, and whether or not there was a princess waiting for him at the end of all this.

Yes, I’m definitely going to play Control. My home is just not good for PC gaming, so I need to wait for a console port before I can play Disco Elysium. It sounds great!

Control is a TPS, not an FPS.  Other than that, I agree, it’s fantastic.

Runaway Killer AI isn’t as likely of a scenario as people want to believe. If it get’s to that point where it could be an existential threat it would more likely go all WOPR and decide the only winning move is not to play.
