Yeah, Origins is miles better than Inquisition esp in terms of likable characters and interesting story. I prefer the gameplay, too, even though it’s more complex than the subsequent Dragon Age sequels. Really bummed they had to change it.
Just fired up Origins for the first time in a while, and I actually enjoy it better than Inquisition. It’s a little slower, but the story and characters tend to grip me in just the right way.
If you haven’t gone back and tried it, I recommend it.
Not even sure what your point is here, and it sounds like you’re doing the whole “but they did it first” excuse.

Agreed. Additionally, categorically adding each additional A in AAA game development separates the production from the final product. It also insulates the talent on these mega titles from the fallout of a corporate disaster in the scope of a loot box fiasco. Best of luck to these talented folks, great artwork! I just…
Gorgeous game with tremendous gameplay. DICE really did a wonderful job with it and some of these designs are “framed picture” worthy.

On paper, Omensight sounds like a long list of elements that don’t seem to fit together. But it works.
Yeah, well...I wanna have fun and having a bunch of random assholes show up and ruin that for no real good reason isn’t really acceptable. I paid $60 bucks to play a video game and have fun, not sit in a brig cause a few friends dc’d or because 12-year-olds.
It’s like “Free sock and battery” night at Phillies games.
1b. The Next Level - this needs a better name, but basically it’s a game that you are now so good at that you’re actively breaking it, looking for more ways to break it, and the actual game as intended has ceased to exist for you. You’ve forgotten there even was a plot. You’ve escaped your Mainstay to a metagame.…
Joined 5 galleon games, got insta-brigged 5 times. I no longer join galleon games.
Sometimes, you need to get a little rowdy when playing Sea of Thieves. But if you cause too much trouble, your…
Funnily enough, this article’s mountaintop is my mainstay/fave. I genuinely enjoy the Souls games and I wouldn’t call them hard so much as I’d say they’re challenging, but also way easier than they first appear once you get the hang of them.
Installed on my laptop and Rig, seriously.
The Lifestyle
Great article! It was really fun to think about these and put together a list, even if only for my own enjoyment.
Are there no other game serial monogamists here?
The Significant Other Game - The game series your partner likes to play so you promise not to play without them, which sometimes means letting a game you’re dying to play sit waiting for them to get in the mood to play.
