Huh, that’s interesting! I was assuming Hokkaido style too, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen deep fried stuff as toppings for it. More like grilled chicken and things like that. But maybe I just never noticed, or it wasn’t an option at the places I happened to go to.

It could be. I had the exact same reaction to that Aladdin ad, too -- which fwiw did not feel off when I saw it in the actual film. So that’s maybe another support to the argument here that the movie itself is better than the impressions judging from the commercials.
