It takes a special gift to keep a really over-the-top caricature funny rather than annoying. Sasha Baron Cohen can obviously do it, as can John C Reilly (aka Dr. Steve Brule).

I totally thought of The Impost watching that film. I don’t think it was very inventive or had anything interesting to say at all. And I was really looking forward to watching it. 

The first half of “Titane” was my favorite movie I saw all year. The second half was the worst.

Raw is a superior film for sure.  

I’m glad I’m not the only one having this opinion. I felt really bad when my overwhelming reaction to Titane was “That’s it?” because I was told that this was a movie unlike no other. And while that kind of tracks, my expectations were wildly different I suppose.

Titane is all hype. Its a weird movie for sure but that doesn’t qualify it as shoe in for an Oscar nomination. There have been far better films in the past that have been snubbed that have more of a beef with the Academy than Titane does.
