This always looked like the very definition of a “C Grade” premium cable/streaming drama with about ninety tons of unearned gravitas and not even a sliver of a sense of humor. See last years “Your Honor” or whatever that Brian Cranston bullshit was called.

It really comes down to which you find more satisfying: ‘78 Halloween, or original Chainsaw. Nothing else comes close to these two as individual film achievements.

God, the way “Miami Vice” (the show) used it is still breathtaking nearly 40 years later.

Sorry to say I didn’t have that happen to me - and I saw it at a film festival in Belgium, which normally follows the director’s guidelines very closely. I guess you were lucky with having a creative projectionist.

Although to be fair The Boner Pill Hour With Ed Asner and America’s Funniest Sex Toys are terrific shows....

It’s a damn shame what they’ve done to CC. During the 2010s, they put out a lot of great shows (Nathan For You, Review, Another Period, Detroiters, etc etc). But like you said, starting around 2019 they absolutely gutted it.
