That movie was a huge part of my queer sexual awakening, so I fucking hope so.

I’ve been to Popeye Village. It had been a dream of mine ever since I read an article in the WSJ, back in the 90's. A few years ago, I was backpacking through Europe and ended up in Malta, so I went.

I like the description of one of the attractions there.

It definitely got pulled from the front page, but the link to it in this story gets you there. But the comment section got vaporized, probably due to the “Why are they speaking Spanish on my ‘murican show?!” comment thread if I had to guess.

Looks that way. The comments section on the original review was getting pretty “Speak English in ‘Merica” when I looked at it, so I’ll bet that was the reason. 

People get so mad when they read this stuff. Yeah, you can watch old stuff on streaming services, if you can find them in the dustiest back-menu before they get dropped off. But independent—or even midbudget studio—movies aren’t being greenlit and playing in the theaters which makes new filmmakers struggle more than

Please keep your hands off this one, Zaslav.  TCM is one of the rare remaining cable channels that still feels like it still has a unique identity, that isn’t the usual slop of original programming, reality/competition shows, and reruns.

I bought a Switch specifically for this game. Oooof was I pissed. Since I paid for a Switch AND paid for this game, I ended up exploiting glitches to max out everything just so I could hate-finish the game. Even after using exploits to speed up progress, it was still tedious. No idea how so many people put this on the

As a person who was once a connoisseur of the fine dumbshit soap opera that was Empire, your description tickles me in a way that only the dumbest TV can.

With the decline of The AV Club comes an increasing number of “who cares? I haven’t seen/heard of it” comments. Strikes me as a self-own, imo.
