If all the responses in this thread indicate, it depends on which Texan you ask. I was born and raised in the northern half of San Antonio till I was about a year ago. The middle men are a triumeverate : retailers, publishers and console manufactures. Scape goating used game sales is two of them trying to scapegoat the third, telling us to "ignore the man behind the curtain" publishers and console manufactures fixing this game against developers.

Not all developers make money from new game sales either (or at least not the actual employees of developers), especially when they are an owned subsidary of a publisher . Also, many developers do not recieve royalties or share profits with publishers once their salaries have been paid.
