That's garbage.

Nope.

Even an hour long demo of the full game is better than a scripted demo that are specifically put out by publishers to make games look as good as possible.

You know what, you are right about this not actually being a case of Microsoft taking away our rights, this is not some sort of bill in congress they lobbied for and won removing all consumer rights to all software products. It's a DRM scheme that ask you to waive your rights for the benefits of these features. Yes,

I would say many of us understand this already, but I don't speak for everyone.

10/10 would troll again

Strawman much ?

It would have also lowered game prices.

Is Microsoft just trying to rub it in our faces arrogantly or are they just incompetent ?

I will admit, this does make the Xbox a little more attractive to me now. But it still doesn't make me want to buy any next gen console at this point.

If they are not going to bother to try to find more consumer-friendly solutions to bring about these features, then why should you be concerned ? Why not put your money behind someone else out there who will ? Whomever that may be.

True, sounds cool. But none of that requires once-every-24-hour online authentication of games licenses.

None of the DRM policies they proposed were actually required for any features they listed. Or at least, they never had any adequate justification for why a better, more consumer-friendly DRM policy was not possible.

What about all that cloud computing stuff now? Is that stuff out the window?

I actually fully support this thing. These guys seem to understand something that Nintendo understood with the NES, that consoles should be a significantly cheaper alternative to PCs. Apparently everyone else has forgotten that.

But if MS did the former, would if have been any better ?

So when you said "Peronally, I think it's worth it, but that's because I much prefer the PC style DRM to console for the benefits" which benefits were you referring to ?

I know you are talking about the DRM system, I am assuming you knew that I was talking about the primary reason(s) for most current PC style DRM models, which include support for digital distribution of games (and the advantages of that), local installs of games, and cloud based storage of purchased games, which is

Whats the point ? What about the actual retail price of the games after the fact ? PC exclusives and PC versions of games are cheaper because of the fact that removing user ownership rights and replacing them with pay-for license to use the software reduces the actual value of the game. Steam sales and low prices for

You say "no one can ever be ready", are you implying we ever should ? You say we are "insanely biased" and that the outrage here is "unfortunate". Is it really ? Are you implying that any benefits of "the rest of the features that may come with the changed DRM" are actually worth the cost of our rights to ownership
