I heard this same shit on WNYC this morning during a piece about the Columbia rape issue - like, a man actually said on the record that "maybe women shouldn't get so drunk" and what was actually appalling was that was treated as valid fucking contribution to the conversation.

Why is he allowed a platform?

Yet, nothing is done about sexual assault, short of blaming the "attacker," a guy who was likely as drunk as his "victim." [...] If drunk women who have sex are able to claim "rape," why aren't drunk men alleviated of responsibility for the poor decisions they make?

It's a hippie-nonsense myth.

Some guy did a very questionable "study" a few years ago alleging it. The methods for selecting the participants were awful, but the study got tossed around "natural living" communities for years and in some corners was regarded as an undisputed fact.

It's a common scare tactic for encouraging women to go without bras. And for the record, I am one of those braless women and cringe when the cancer idea would get brought up because there was never much concrete evidence for it. In response to this as a DC resident, I have to say GO NAVY.

This is a positive turn for a branch of the Armed Forces that has (as all of them have) had issues (to put it mildly) with the perception of rape and sexual assault.

This is totally unfair to C-Lo. C-Lo Green's comments were placed out of context and misrepresented by C-Lo Green.
