So this just occurred to me:

When you do things in public, ask for money from the public, and publicly reference public issues from 20 years ago, the public may want an opinion or two on the matter.

Zito: That just shows that lots of people have lots of different opinions.

Why aren't you making a Kickstarter campaign right now?!

As a born and raised New Yorker I resent this pronunciation.

It's about as much a default as I could imagine. Either way, Unity is a really bizarre choice for an FMV game, and it doesn't really speak to their experience that they're using it and ignoring a system that was built with the IDE in mind.

So there's 2D for games, and then there are things which are in 2D. Video is certainly in the latter category. You could really make Night Trap in YouTube with their interactive features, and it might make more sense. Unity has the tools to do video, but "using Unity to to make an FMV game" could be the new

'xactly

Totes. But FMV is just makes waaaay too little sense.

Because of lack of perspective I guess? Without doing any research (and let me stress that I haven't) I'd guess these guys have been off of the scene for quite some time, and really have no idea what they're doing. We're in an age of reboots and remasterings, and they have under their belts a game that once enjoyed

Yes, but rather than start a half dozen threads, I'll direct you to my reply to Chrispy145. Apparently the direction of my scorn was a bit too vague.

I actually really love Unity (my time with it has been much better than my relationship with Microsoft at large). Rather than do a big 'ol copy/paste, I'll just direct you to my reply to Chrispy.

Ha, no, you misunderstand me. I LOVE the Unity platform. I use it myself! But, like so many other aspects of this Kickstarter, it's application here is completely inappropriate, and wreaks of being out of touch. Unity is fantastic platform for 3D and (more recently) 2D games, but using it for FMV with a UI over it

...we are using the Unity development system...

I used to binge with Netflix, and it became a little bit too much for my brain to handle; getting the steady-drip treatment is what makes shows entertaining for me. The same applies to (some) games, especially the long, drawn-out stories found in Telltale games.

Never played it, what's it like? Episodic content is actually a little older than I think we give it credit for. Remember, even Half-Life 2 tried being episodic (for, like, a hot second).

I feel they are, but I understand what you mean.

Let me sum up everything all of the replies to your comment say:
